Project Overview
We have undertaken a number of projects with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In 2023, we were approached us to prepare a master plan for Mountain View Adventist College.
The key areas to be addressed derived from our briefing process included:
- Creating precincts for specialist teaching areas such as hospitality, STEM/STEAM, creative and performing arts;
- Visually connecting the Junior and Senior precincts
- Upgrades of existing and provision of new facilities for Teaching and Learning that are contemporary, flexible and that facilitate the College’s strategic goals for teaching and learning;
- Considered staging and adjacencies
- Harvesting space
- Creation of design principles that weave through each stage Seventh-day Adventist values;
- Multicultural respect, materiality and connectivity;
- Improve on areas that are already identified as special to the College community such as the Quadrangle and areas that are in use for spiritual gathering.
- Future-focused to enable a ‘staged renewal’ programme.
