Project Overview

Wetherill Architects have been commissioned by Northholm Grammar School in Arcadia to review, update and develop a 2025 Master Plan. We had previously been commissioned to prepare the first Northholm Grammar School Master in 2002 and then again 2013 and 2017 alongside a number of specific building projects.

The master plan creates a framework that creates stronger visual connectivity both within the campus and to the surrounds.  The planning is established to not just support the aspirations for teaching and learning but also to mitigate bushfire risk.

The design guidelines appended to the master plan respond to the site context of climate and Australian traditional rural vernacular.

The architecture neither opposes nature nor prevents its occupants from enjoying the landscape and environment by use of natural daylight, winds, sounds, colours and even smells – stimulating to the senses and ‘healthy’ learning environments.

Wetherill Architects have designed and built the following facilities:

  • Primary School
  • The Lennon Centre
  • Lower Field Sports Project
  • Trade Training Centre
  • BER Junior School
  • ILC & General Purpose Learning Areas
  • Science School and Staff Centre
